Journal ownership and governance
Ownership
Mission
The Journal of Applied Research in Technology & Engineering (JARTE) is an academic journal dedicated to disseminating scientific research in the field of engineering. Its ownership and governance structure is designed to guarantee editorial independence and transparency in management.
The journal was created on the initiative of the Universitat Politècnica de València, which acts as the publisher responsible for its strategic development and is recognised as the owner of the title and the assigned ISSN.
The ownership of the journal does not interfere with editorial decisions, guaranteeing the academic and scientific freedom of its authors, reviewers and editors. The intellectual property rights over the published content belong to the authors, who grant the journal the first public communication.
The UPV is a Spanish public academic institution, and among the services it provides is the publication of scientific journals. The selection and operation of these journals is governed by the UPV Scientific Journal Regulations and is specified in a contract signed by the interested parties (the responsible institution and the UPV, the institution providing the service), which establishes the temporary link and the commitments acquired by each party. Thus understood, the journal complies with the UPV Scientific Journals Regulations and undertakes to maintain the criteria established therein, both in its organisational structure and in its operation.
The Universitat Politècnica de València is the technical publisher of the journal, as stated in the ISSN and in all the databases where the journal is indexed.
