Sayuri Hayakawa was born in 1992 and received a bachelor’s degree in 2015 from the Undergraduate School of Architecture of Kyoto University, a master’s degree in 2017 and a PhD in 2022 from the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering of Kyoto University. From 2017 to 2019, she was a researcher at the Architectural Research Association, Kyoto, Japan. From 2019, she did her research as freelancer. From April to September 2021 she was a Research Student in the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering of Kyoto University. Since October 2021, she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering of Kyoto University in Japan. Her research interests are architectural theory and urban design.

Takahiro Taji is a Professor, Dr. Eng., in the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering of Kyoto University, Japan.
