Has been teaching in Integrated Projects, Analysis of Architectural Forms, and postgraduate and master’s degree in Generation of Complex Architectures and Sustainability in Architecture.
Project Director at EMBT Miralles-Tagliabue for more than 14 years, directing among other projects: the Spanish Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo or the 120 social housing block in Barajas, Madrid. As his own work; has developed extensive projects in the public and private spheres, always under the parameters of sustainability and bioclimatic buildings: as the renovation of the Vilamarxant Town Hall, Valencia, a Buddhism center in Adeje, Tenerife, or the municipal sport pavilion in Salinas, Alicante.
Researcher and Lecturer in QURBIS group at UPC and ICT Vs CC at the ÍTACA institute, as technical director in European research projects such as the IMIP project. Participated in 5 national and international competitive research projects focused in sustainability, energy efficiency and complex geometry in architecture. Author of more than 15 peer review articles and 20 congress papers, and guest lecturer around the world.

Dr. Albert Sanchez Riera is a Serra Hunter tenure-track lecturer in the Department of Architectural Representation (AR) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona. He is member of the QURBIS research group, where he has co-directed 2 doctoral theses and has participated in 6 national and international competitive research projects. He is currently the Principal Investigator for an R+D+I Project that aims to evaluate tactile VR technology for visually impaired people. His research focuses on the evaluation of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies using immersive and collaborative systems, delving into their application in different fields of architecture and building, such as energy efficiency, constructive processes, heritage safeguard, and spatial perception of people with disabilities through these technologies.
