About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Spanish Journal of Remote Sensing / Revista de Teledetección (RAET) is a biannual scientific journal that publishes original research papers related to a wide range of methods and applications in remote sensing. A section is devoted to Practical cases describing experiences where remote sensing is used to develop land and territory management projects, missions, sensors or ground segments. Additionally, book reviews, programmes and teaching materials related to remote sensing applications and methods, and doctoral thesis summaries are included.

Revista de Teledetección has been continuously published since 1993, and represents the official publication of the Spanish Association of Remote Sensing, being a reference in the context of new developments and applications of this technology.

Peer Review Process

The original research papers follow an anonymous peer review process by at least two specialists from the national and international scientific community, proposed and co-ordinated by the Editorial board. This process warrantees the scientific quality of the contents. The journal (RAET) has the commitment to communicate the authors if the manuscript is accepted or refused within a deadline of three months.

Publication Frequency

Revista de Teledetección is a biannual publication and, from 2021, it will be published in January and July.

Special issues can be published, and they will be announced in advance.

Open Access Policy

Revista de Teledetección provides free and immediate online access to the contents of the Journal, fostering the exchange and dissemination of scientific knowledge and experience.

Journal History

Revista de Teledetección is the official Journal of the Spanish Association of Remote Sensing. It has been published continuously since 1993.

In 2021, the editorial team decide to change the journal periodicity to January and July (until then it had been published in June and December).
