Virtual Archaeology Review is committed to promoting gender equality in scientific communication, encouraging the use of inclusive and non-sexist language in published articles. Authors are encouraged to use terms that make gender diversity visible and to avoid expressions that reproduce discriminatory biases. In addition, where relevant, authors are encouraged to integrate a sex and gender analysis in the research design, methodology, interpretation of results, discussion and conclusion.
